1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 cup whole milk
1 cup sugar
2 large egg yolks
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon nonfat dry milk powder
1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 1/2 teaspoons xanthan gum

Step 1: Measure Ingredients
Put the whipping cream, milk, and sugar into a blender and blend on high until completely smooth.
Step 2: Whisk Yolks and Add Stabilizers
In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and nonfat dry milk powder.
Add the cornstarch to the egg yolk mixture and whisk thoroughly. Set aside.
Step 3: Return the Cream to the Blender

Pour the entire contents of the blender into a metal bowl.
Refrigerate until chilled.
Tip: To keep your soft serve from getting too icy, remove it from the refrigerator about 30 minutes before serving.
Step 5: Freeze Your Soft Serve
Once your ice cream has completely chilled, transfer it to a container.
Freeze according to your preferred consistency.
You may want to add extra sweeteners or flavors to suit your taste.
